Somebody working for Basic Invite is a genius, and they’ve got the busy/environmentally conscious bride in mind. If you’ve ever felt like you’re not a fan of the paper waste involved with sending out wedding invitations, the design team at Basic Invite is cutting a piece of that waste out. Their Seal and Send wedding invitations are an all-in-one wedding invitation with a tear-off RSVP postcard included. Each guest’s address is printed on the front of their invitation so the need for envelopes is eliminated.

They like to make things easy for the busy bride. Simply collect your guests’ mailing addresses and upload them onto your design. This is made easy with a link you share out via email or social media. When you receive your order all you have to do is add postage, fold your invites, and secure them with a sticker. Piece of wedding cake.

I ordered my own sample set to try them out. I’m a very uncoordinated person with terrible hand writing – if you’ve ever received a Thank You card form me in the mail, you’ll know this to be true – so the option of not writing out all those addresses is right up my alley. I had 180 colours to choose from when designing the invites, which for me was choices overload, so I went with one of their already chic designs. Their sample sets are free, so I only had to pay for shipping to try them out.

If you love the design for your invites, you can use the same design for your customized thank you cards. Each of Basic Invite’s wedding invitations are part of a set. We have all the wedding stationery you need, like save the dates, wedding invitations, enclosure cards, wedding menus, wedding programs, and even matching thank you cards!

I’m not getting married anytime soon, but when I do I’ll be heading back to Basic Invite and possibly uploading a design to their site. I like to support local artists and vendors which means that when it comes to my own ideas – most likely 40 or 50 years from now – I’d want to hire someone local to make the design. I can then take that design and upload it to Basic Invite’s blank design templates.

The last thing I’ll gush about is their wedding websites. They offer a variety of both minimalist and romantic options so that you can build the best wedding website for you and your partner.

Hi, my name is Janelle, I’m a photographer from Edmonton Alberta. I’m all about three things: celebration, connection and client education. My style is relaxed and romantic. I love intimate weddings, the kind where I get to know your family and friends. I thrive when meeting new people. My favourite moment of every wedding is right after the ceremony. This is when your friends and family smother or possibly crush you with either love or cheerful embrace. Bring on the epic dance parties.

I value connection and celebration of moments over a big production.
