I met Erika and Jordan for the first time at the Wedding Fair. Jordan stopped by first with list of questions and then came back towards the end of the day with Erika. That same week we started planning their engagement session. I asked if skating is an activity that they enjoy and the answer was almost an immediate “yes.” I had no idea at that point that Erika figured skated throughout her childhood and Jordan felt just as at home on the ice after years of hockey. They’re both more than comfortable on the ice and I had a hard time keeping up as I ran around in my boots!
For their skating engagement session we had the ice all to ourselves. Not super surprising considering just how cold it was! We opted for the secondary Hawrelak Park ice rink near Shelter # 2.

Hey there, I’m Janelle, an urban beekeeper with three very expensive and fragile cameras.
I’m all about three things: celebration, connection and client education. My style is relaxed and romantic. I love intimate weddings, the kind where I get to know your family and friends. I thrive when meeting new people.
Supporting local business makes the world go round. Providing entrepreneurs and creatives with content for their websites, blogs and social media platforms is my guilty pleasure. Life is good if I can spend time traveling across Canada and tending to my beehives on the farm.
Bring on all the candid moments.
I value connection and celebration of moments over a big production.
